Benni Bødker har tidligere arbejdet som forlagsredaktør på Gyldendal, men siden 2009 har han levet at at skrive bøger. Mest for børn og unge, men i 2011 debuterede han også som voksenforfatter med krimien Blod vil have blod (skrevet sammen med Karen Vad Bruun).
