Amerikansk forfatterinde hvis første novelle blev trykt I 1971, men som først vendte tilbage til SF I begyndelsen af 80'erne. Nu er hun blevet en af SF's mest prisbelønnede forfattere og havde ved sidste tælling vundet 7 Nebula priser og11 Hugo'er. Willis har en lille serie om tidsrejser I gang som startede med titelhistorien I novellesamlingen "Fire Watch". Så fortsatte den I de prisbelønnede romaner "Doomsday Book" der foregår I middelalderen og den efterfølgende "To Say Nothing of the Dog", bygget på Jerome K.
